The exterior aesthetic of the early 911, perhaps the era in Porsche history we are most nostalgic for, was carried well into the 80’s and remains the design favorite for many Porsche enthusiasts. Today, forty-five years post-production, the 911 T is perhaps even more of a delight to look at, and still a pure pleasure to drive, but it is, unfortunately, an extremely expensive car to refurbish and restore unless one has the ability to do the work themselves. Obtaining an example with a mechanical impression equal to its stunning good looks is increasingly rarer these days, and what makes this ’71 911 T a very fortunate find. While not matching numbers, it has received a full restoration, and the result is a fantastic driver.
This fully refurbished 1971 911 T was completed approximately 4,500 miles ago by esteemed Porsche mechanic Bob Farmer, of Farmer’s Automotive.
