Apparently, they didn’t think an SS wagon was necessary, so GM didn’t make them! But we went ahead and used our imagination.First thing we did was get rid of the boring 400 small block and replaced it with a 454 LS5 out of a 1970 Corvette. But we couldn’t just have a stock 454 in there, so we installed a set of Trick Flow 320cc aluminum heads, along with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, a lumpy little Comp Cam, some fancy Pro Magnum roller rockers, a 750 double pumper, and a set of Flowmasters, to give it that classic big block sound. And it hauls ass! Because not only does this thing make around 450-500 HP, but it’s got 4.11’s with a posi, a 32-3400 Circle D stall, and a stage 3 700R4 transmission! So you better get used to blowing those tires off, because this baby can get down! And if you are paying attention, you might have noticed we installed an overdrive transmission. In fact, we even used a lock up torque converter. So, you can cruise down the freeway at 75-80 MPH and that big block ain’t even trying! Now on to the suspension. It’s been completely rebuilt and upgraded with a set of BMR springs, BMR front and rear sway bars, Belltech shocks, QA1 trailering arms, and literally everything else is Moog. No bushing or ball joint left behind, the suspension on this car is literally 100% brand new. And I know what you’re thinking, “does a lowered wagon with upgraded suspension ride good?” Let me tell you something, not only does this dream boat ride good, she handles amazing too! In fact I’m kind of surprised, I don’t know why it handles so good, but I mean, you can really go around some corners in this thing, which seems kind of sketch when you think about it, but it’s not at all. Because you’ve got Nitto NT555’s in all 4 corners, so I mean of course it handles well. You just wouldn’t expect a wagon to do what this thing can do, which is part of what makes it so amazing. As far as the interior is concerned, it’s going to transport you back to 1970 from the moment you sit down. And thankfully the Concours Estate came with luxurious cloth finished seats, and not some sticky vinyl crap. The best way I can describe the overall experience is to just imagine driving your couch, and that’s pretty much how it feels to drive this thing. Your friends will honestly be incredibly jealous when they ride with you and realize how luxurious your lifestyle is compared to theirs.Body wise, this car came from Oregon. And I’m told it’s an area in Oregon where they don’t use salt on the roads. So rust is very minimal. The body is incredibly solid. It’s not gutted or had any significant repairs done over the years. Maybe at some point you could have it all redone and make it look SIMPLY amazing, but in my opinion, that time is not now. You can enjoy this car for years to come and not have to do anything to the paint and body unless you just absolutely want to.In closing, this car has been my baby for a little over 2 years now, and I have loved every minute of it. In fact, the only reason I’m selling it is because I’ve run out of things to do to it. Working on cars is kind of my thing. So, when I run out of “things” to do, it’s time to move on to something else, which is what I’ve already done. Make no mistake, I do not need to sell. I just think it’s time for someone else to enjoy this car. And I promise, you will love every second of it. I’ll even throw in a few 8 tracks so you can enjoy some tunes on the way home. This car is 100% ready for the road. It NEEDS absolutely nothing. In fact the only thing I can think of that doesn’t work is the clock, which I believe you can fix if you watch some youtube videos. I just never got around to it. The AC blows 40-45 degrees out the vents. So you’ll stay nice and cool, even in these brutal Texas summers.Any questions, feel free to ask. I have a thick folder with all the receipts if you’re into that sort of thing.Price is 48,500 firm. I am losing my butt at that price, but that’s the price we pay to have a little fun. Now it’s your turn to have a little fun.
