Let the pictures be your guide.
I picked this up a year or two ago out in UTAH. I have kept it in dry storage and recently removed the carpet and cleaned it up as best I could for the purpose of a full inspection. It is for sale at the moment and is a great investment grade MOPAR car. It is an original H-CODE car and looks to retain its original 340 long block. This is how I received it so I can not confirm the condition of the 340 block other than it is present. The car is mostly complete (95%) and all I can see that is missing is the top half of the engine, drive shaft, sill plates, a few emblems and that is it. This car can quickly be put on the road with a 318 swap while you get the 340 together and enjoy within a week or two of its purchase or you can treat her to a full restoration. If no one pics her up within a month of listing I will do the former. Below is a list of what I have concluded upon a full inspection.
THE GOOD;
numbers matching
solid bones (frame rails, steering, suspension, brakes, etc.)
Over all 98% complete and original
fender tag
clean UTAH title
340 H-CODE car
Dart sport (only 12 thousandish made) formerly known as the Dodge Demon
all seat belts in great shape (fronts not pictured but do come with sale)
interior is salvageable
all panels are straight and usable
All glass (except crack in windshield) present and usable
looks to have never been monkeyed with other than the 340 project that stopped.
All electrical wiring present and not hacked up under hood and behind dash.
All engine components such as pulleys, brackets, linkages, power steering pump, etc present ( no alternator or starter)
unusual color combo ( may have been painted at some point?)
Excellent grille and bright work throughout (all present)
All gutters clean and free from rot
Doors look to be in excellent shape
THE BAD;
rot in the lower quarters both sides (Patch worthy)
floors will need patched or replaced. (patching would do fine to get back on road)
windshield cracked
front bench needs attention
dash pad needs attention
missing top half of original 340
missing drive shaft
hood hinges of track
trunk lid underside has rot (can be repaired)
Again, this car is almost complete (98% in my opinion) and carries a beautiful patina that I personally would not fool with. Patch quarters, swap 340, and go. Looks to have had a green hat along with that green moldings and that awesome green interior. Most likely 1 of 1 as this seems to me to be a strange color combo. Do not miss your chance to get this awesome piece of MOPAR history in your garage or collection. Better than cash in the bank. I can assure you another one like this will not be available for a while.
