1This is a 1976 Datsun 280Z rolling body with title. I got it in a package deal on the Utah/Arizona border up in red dirt country below Zion. It has been off the road for decades. It was being built for a Turbo engine swap.I tried to get most of the red dirt out from in ,out, top and bottom but a lot is still there. The previous owner pulled the 76 drivetrain and was in the process of dropping a 83 280ZX turbo drivetrain in. But never finished. Before I pull it apart into a million pieces, I will see if someone can use a really nice straight clean Desert 280Z to work with. Build a hot rod, restore to stock, replace your rusty Z with a nice clean almost rustfree body. Nice floors, rockers, spare tire box, rear tailgate ledge, clean rustfree under rear hatch, nice inner front wheel wells at control arms, . There is a couple spots of rust on both rear wheelwell lips in places. And the drivers side floorboard rail is rusty at the bottom back. I think that is from the driver window being left open and the rare Desert rain got in to the floor and then trapped in the rail box at the tailend where they usually get bad. But this is a very ,very solid nice clean body to work with. Nice color, looks like it was repainted once sometime. And of course will need it again as the Arizona sun has flattened and burned off the paint. No seats, bumpers, radiator, center console, carpet, etc. But this Z will be a nice one to put back together. It has not been pulled apart , it has most everything still stock.’ Suspension, brakes, hydraulics, electric, gauges, etc.New tires on Western mags. Rolls and steers easily. This will make a great wintertime project to get out on the road by summer.
